  DeKALB, Ill. - Season tickets for the 2012 Northern Illinois football games at Huskie Stadium, including the full six-game package, the popular three-game Mini-Plan and the new Huskieland Plan, are now available for purchase through the NIU Athletics Ticket Office. Season ticket holders for 2012 and Huskie Athletic Support Fund members can also now order tickets to Soldier Field Showdown III, Northern Illinois' Sept. 1 game versus Iowa at the landmark Chicago stadium.

• Annual HASF Kickoff Event Set for Wednesday, February 15
  orthern Illinois will celebrate its 2011 Mid-American Conference Champions and begin looking toward the 2012 Huskie football season at the annual Huskie Athletic Support Fund Kickoff on Wednesday, February 15 at 5 p.m. The event, featuring NIU coaches and student-athletes, free food and drink and important information on 2012 football tickets, will be held in Victor E. Court at the NIU Convocation Center prior to the NIU-Western Michigan men's basketball game.
• Veteran Offensive Coordinator Mike Dunbar to Run Huskies' Offense
  Mike Dunbar, a 35-year college coaching veteran whose résumé includes extensive experience as a head coach and offensive coordinator at every level of football, has joined the Northern Illinois University football program as offensive coordinator, NIU head coach Dave Doeren announced Wednesday.
• Huskies' Harnish Set to Participate in NFL Combine, Receive Two Awards
  Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish continues to reap the rewards of a stellar NIU career and will represent his alma mater at two awards banquets this February, while preparing for the biggest "job interview" of his career at the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine.
• Uremovich Named to Huskie Coaching Staff
  After introducing 31 new Huskies Wednesday on National Signing Day, NIU Head Coach Dave Doeren announced Thursday that Mike Uremovich, a native of New Lenox, Ill. who spent the past seven years as head coach at the University of St. Francis in Joliet and previously worked as a graduate assistant at NIU for former head coach Joe Novak, has joined the staff as running backs coach and special teams coordinator.

  Dave Doeren's second signing day as Northern Illinois University head coach went a little smoother than the first. While the 2011 Signing Day got off to a slow start due to a blizzard that hit the region, closing schools and closing roads, by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Northern Illinois had received all the necessary paperwork on 30 of its 31 2012 recruits, with the final NLI coming across the fax machine just before noon.
