The North Carolina Tar Heels NCAA football team represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in collegiate level football. In 20 years of existence, the program has won 638 games for a winning percentage of .547, and has appeared in 28 bowl games, also the team has won five conference championships, with the most recent title coming in 1980.

The Kenan Memorial Stadium is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and is the home field of the North Carolina Tar Heels. Kenan Memorial Stadium opened in 1927 and holds 60,000 people. It is located in a cluster of pine trees near the center of campus at the University of North Carolina, next door to the Bell Tower.

  Six players will represent the University of North Carolina at the 2012 NFL Combine, which begins Wednesday, Feb. 22 and concludes Feb. 28. The combine is held in Lucas Oil Stadium and more than 300 of the nation's top prospects are expected to workout and display their talents for the league's scouts, general managers and coaches.
• 2012 Carolina Football Camps
  Practice, eat and sleep in the same facilities as Carolina Football Players. The newest offensive, defensive and kicking techniques will be taught with an emphasis on fundamentals. The camp will be coached by the Carolina Football Staff who have coaching experience at the high school, college and professional levels. The Carolina Staff will be assisted by some of the top high school and college coaches. Come learn how to practice and play the Carolina way. You will learn and have fun, too!

  North Carolina student-athletes Pete Mangum and Curtis Byrd have been named to the 2011 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Football Team, announced Wednesday by Commissioner John Swofford.

• Nicks Wins Super Bowl With Giants
  Former North Carolina standout Hakeem Nicks posted a game-high 10 catches for 109 yards to help lead New York to a 21-17 victory over New England in Super Bowl XLVI. On the final scoring drive of the game, Nicks had two critical catches, including a first down at the Patriots' 7-yard line.

  Larry Fedora announced Wednesday his first signing class as head coach at North Carolina. The class includes 21 student-athletes that signed national letters of intent Wednesday and two players who have been enrolled at Carolina since January. The class includes two quarterbacks, four wide receivers, four offensive linemen, three defensive ends, four linebackers, one bandit, two cornerbacks, two safeties and one tight end.
