• Six Bulls Named to Phil Steele’s Preseason All-MAC Team
  Six University at Buffalo football players were named to the Phil Steele 2012 Preseason All-MAC Team on Thursday. Branden Oliver and Khalil Mack were named to the first team; Alex Neutz and Najja Johnson were named to the second team; and Graham Whinery and Lee Skinner were named to the third team.
• Peter Fardon Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
  University at Buffalo punter and kicker Peter Fardon has been named to National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society - comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career.
• Marcus Rivers Signs Free Agent Deal with Green Bay Packers
  University at Buffalo wide receiver Marcus Rivers has signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers. The Lackawanna, NY native will be reunited with former UB teammate James Starks.
• Nine UB Football Recruits to Play in All-Star Games
  Nine members of the incoming 2012 Buffalo football recruiting class will be wrapping up their respective high school careers with a chance to play in state-wide All-Star games.
• UB Football Season Ticket Holders Enjoy Lunch with Coach Quinn at Carrabba’s Italian Grill
  50 UB Football season ticket holders and their guests were treated to lunch at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Wednesday. The event was the first of several exclusive events the Bulls are offering season ticket holders this season, representing opportunities for fans to connect with Bulls coaches, student-athletes, staff and fellow fans.
• Quinn Announces Summer Depth Chart
  University at Buffalo head coach Jeff Quinn has released the following depth chart following spring practices and heading into fall camp.
• Dempsey’s Estate Gift to Support 1958 Lambert Cup Team Football Endowed Scholarship
  The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics has announced today it has received a significant estate gift in support of its football program. Former UB football player, John (Jack, Bear) Dempsey committed his estate to the UB Division of Athletics to be used towards growing the 1958 Lambert Cup Team Football Endowed Scholarship. Established in 2009, this significant gift will now raise the overall scholarship to over $500,000. In recognition of this gift, Dempsey will be honored as a member of the Bulls Legacy Program.
• Murchie Family Makes $1 Million Gift to UB Athletics
  The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics announced today that former UB hockey player Tunney Murchie and his family have committed a $1 million gift to be used toward capital projects in UB Stadium and Alumni Arena. This is one of the largest single commitments in UB Division of Athletics history. In recognition of the gift, UB Athletics will recommend to the UB Council that the football center at UB Stadium be named “The Murchie Family Football Center.”
• A Lot of Positives at Blue White Scrimmage
  The University at Buffalo football team held its annual Blue White Scrimmage at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon and there were a lot of positives on both sides of the ball.
• Mack and Skinner Lead Veteran Linebackers
  The 2011 crop of linebackers was predicted by many to lead the team’s defense, and lead they did, with three of the team’s top four tacklers coming from the linebacking corps. While many of the household names excelled under the high expectations, the Bulls also received breakout seasons from previously unproven players. Khalil Mack and Lee Skinner were the key cogs in the defensive backfield, and both return in 2012 with similarly high hopes.
• Offense Looks Sharp in Spring's Second Scrimmage
  The University at Buffalo football team held its second scrimmage of the spring at UB Stadium on Saturday morning and the offense looked sharp.
• Buffalo Announces 2012 Football Schedule
  The University at Buffalo football schedule will feature a Homecoming matchup with Pittsburgh, six games at UB Stadium, including an ESPNU televised game, and visits to both Georgia and Connecticut.
• A Healthy Neutz Leads a Talented Receiving Corps
  Alex Neutz was catching everything thrown his way at Tuesday’s spring football practice and that was a good sign considering the Bulls’ wide receiver was lost late last season to a broken wrist. Wearing a brace on his wrist, Neutz says he is healing nicely and happy to be back on the field.
• Quinn Pleased With First Spring Scrimmage
  Saturday was the third football practice of the spring and the Bulls were in full pads for their first scrimmage.
• Oliver Looking For an Even Bigger Year in 2012
  It is safe to say Branden Oliver could have made quite a highlight reel after his record-breaking season in 2011. As a sophomore, the Miami native rushed for a school-record 1,395 yards and 13 touchdowns as he evolved into the Bulls’ top offensive threat. However, Oliver is expecting even bigger things in 2012, so he focused on the mistakes he made so he can learn from them.

• Quinn Adds Linguist To Round Out Defensive Staff
  University at Buffalo head football coach Jeff Quinn will add Maurice Linguist to his defensive staff to replace former defensive backs coach Ernest Jones, who recently accepted a position on the Notre Dame staff.
• Bulls to play at Ohio State in 2013
  The University at Buffalo will make another visit to a historic stadium when it travels to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes on Sept. 21, 2013.
• Oliver and Mack to Be Honored by the Touchdown Club of Columbus
