Atlanta Falcons: The Atlanta Falcons is a professional NFL football team based in Atlanta, Georgia and a a member of the South Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The Falcons joined the NFL in 1965 as an expansion team.

Atlanta Falcons have compiled a record of 298–402–6 with division championships in 1980, 1998, 2004, and 2010. Their first and only Super Bowl appearance was Super Bowl XXXIII in 1999. The home stadium of the Atlanta Falcons is the Georgia Dome. The Georgia Dome was completed in 1992 at a cost of $214 million (US), which came from the Georgia General Assembly, making it one of the largest state-funded construction projects in state history.
